Nice write up DriVer! Unfortunately, it shows your obvious bias for Ford products.
Sorry, couldn't help it!!!

No that's OK. I took delivery of 4 brand new Ford vehicles over the years, 2 Taurus, a Club Wagon Château and a 97 PSD SC 4x4. All nice vehicles.

My record is still good .. either Ford or GM vehicles all the way. I did own a Gremlin once with vacuum wipers but that doesn't count.

Thanks for the info Mike. Good report as usual.

When I saw your subject line I was thinking I'd see the new 6.2 engine like the 2011 Super Duty gets. The F53 may be the only 6.8 application in 2011?

And a bit of deja vu reading the updates for 2011. 80 gallon tank? I have about 85. The 75 gallon tank had about 17 gallons of unused space, I moved the vapor tube up and have about 7 gallons unused. Distance to empty on the trip computer? Got that on my scangauge. New 4.88 axle ratio? Got that, swapped it a couple years ago.

Nice to see Ford agreed with my own updates!

TEDRONNE: What did the rear end change do for you in MPG? Did it have any negative effect ?

Negative? Stock was a 5.38! Dropped the RPM about 12%. Hard to tell if it helped much, but it certainly didn't hurt. I happened on to a cheap whole center section. Mine was noisy.

In looking at the tank the only room it might have to expand would be downward because it sure does take up all the room in between the rails aft of the axle.

Now that Ford has announced an LPG option later this year of the F Series Super Duty Chassis, it's going to be very interesting to see that implemented. The upfitter is none other than Roush Performance.

Good Writing. Ford is really doing the job. The new 2011 Super Duty 6.2 gas or 6.7 Diesel will also be a big improvement.
