Emergency Brake Contact for HWH Deployment

I've noticed lately that when I deploy my emergency brake lever so that I can engage my HWH leveling jacks, the emergency brake needs to be in a specific position - not necessary full deployed - for the HWH sensor to see that the emergency brake is deployed and then allow me to deploy my HWH jacks (WOW! an lot of words to explain this situation). I need to play with it to get the right position on the emergency brake deployment.

Hopefully this makes sense and someone out there has a solution/easy fix to my need.

Good question. I don't know.

It is a 1999 with a Ford V10 Triton gas engine.

Does that help?

I'll move this to the Ford section where hopefully one of our Ford experts can assist.

It works off of the 'E-brake' signal light switch. That warning light in your dash. Could be a loose or corroded switch. I got under my dash and soaked mine with contact cleaner and no problems since.

If it is a pedal it is near the top of the pedal arm.

On levers I'm not sure but guessing close by.

Should have 2 wires hooked to it (one has a "Duplex adapter" on it) the one with the adapter is the jacks lead, the other one is the dash indicator.

I couldn't hazzard a guess. I've used all kinds with equal results. YMMV
