Engine problems

I have a 1994 cruise master with a 460 ford engine. I have changed the fuel pump fuel filter and o2 senand still I can go down the road or sit still and when you give it gas real fast it will on its nose. Like its getting too much fuel or not enough. It is also fuel injected. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Engine stumble

On a ford fuel injected motor, like yours, stumbling at stand still and while moving can be caused by a few different things. First i would check the whether the mass air sensor is dirty. Not sure where it is located on your rig, but it should be between the air filter and the throttle body. Clean this and see if your problem goes away. It could also be caused by any number of pollution control equipment like the EGR or the throttle bypass sensor. Another place to look would be fuel pressure. Hope this helps.

You do not have a mass air sensor or a throttle bypass sensor (no item by that name on your RV).

IF the EGR valve was stuck open then the engine would not idle either.

My guess is the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) on the throttle body.

By the way what type RV do you have, a class "A", "B" or "C"?

The 460's had fuel pump problems frequently. I would have it checked first for pressure.
