Exterior Back Up Alarm, Beep Beep Beep

Has anyone installed a back up alarm on their F53 chassis?

If so which alarm did you use? And I assume you wired it to one of your reverse lights?

Thx,
Steve

Stop in at any HD truck parts store. They will have them, and yes, wire it up to your backup light circuit.
Happy Glamping.

You can buy an alarm that replaces one of your backup lights....search "backup alarm bulb".

Steve-

Here is a link to one that fits in a 7-pin hitch connector.

I have seen other ones that fit in the 2-inch hitch receiver, and then a plug goes in a 6- or 7-pin hitch connector.

Both designs assume that the hitch connector backup pin is active (see diagrams here), and the connector is otherwise not in use (by a trailer umbilical, for instance).

If you do install a backup alarm, please be kind to your fellow RVers and disable it when inside an RV park.

I agree, please don't use this in a campground, nothing spoils the quiet like a backup warning alarm going off repeatedly as someone tries to squeeze into an rv site.

I was in a RV park a couple weeks ago where a guy had a backup alarm.

Pretty annoying.

Thx for the replies! I’m rethinking, they are annoying.
