F-53 differential vent

After reading in another thread here about insects possibly plugging the rear differential vent, I decided to check ours. We have a 2013 26000 lb F-53 chassis. I crawled all around the rear axle but could not see any vent. Any ideas where it is?

On my 1999 It originally is clipped to the bottom of the frame rail and points UP.

I have relocated it higher on the frame rail and point it DOWN. Whne its pointing UP, it can trap moisture and debris in side the hose. At least when it pointing down, and water that gets in the tube can drain back out.

It won't do MACH 2, but I can get a sandwich and take a pee.

George,

Do a google search "Differential vent hose location pictures" and you'll see there's several or many ways to see how this is done.

It's just there to equalize the differential pressures as internal lubricant and air heats up and cools off!!!

A good second look today and I found it tucked up into the frame on the left side. All is well. Thx guys!
