A note of warning!

Look at your rear sway bar bracket / bushings to see if they are loose or even still there. This is where the bracket bolts to the rear axle & supports the sway bar.

On a recent trip we lost the passenger side completely and the drivers side was very loose. In checking with other Ford F53 owners it appears that this is an ongoing problem. Ours was replaced under warranty. If I were to do it myself I would look into these: (polyurethane sway bar bushings, with greasable option)

Thank you for the heads up on this, Roger. It's raining right now or I would be out, under & checking the rear brackets. It will get done at the first opportunity and definitely before the MH is moved once again.

After driving home from Tx., where we bought our 99 Winnebago Adventurer 35' I was under it replacing shocks and saw that both of the rear bushings on the sway bar were completely worn out. I did exactly what you are talking about, polyurethane replacements. they were very simple to replace.

May I ask, where did you find the replacement polyurethane bushings at? no more rubber bushings for me, BOTH of my rear bushings are gone, metal to metal and the rig has only 27,000 miles on it!

I should have taken a pic. They were all eaten up and were basically sticky goo when I removed them. Now they are all pretty blue and tight as can be.
