Hi guys,

I've recently purchased a 1988 Coachmen Catalina based on the Ford Econoline 350 and I was wondering which would be the recommended service manual to purchase.

One option is the Haynes manual:

Ford Full-size Vans Repair Manual covering Econoline E-100 thru E-350 with gasoline engines for 1969 thru 1991

But this manual is not really RV-oriented... so I would like to check with you guys if better options are available or if the Haynes manual is the one.

Thanks in advance...

BB

Those manuals are too general you need something for your year only.
A good one would be the 1987 Ford E & F-series Shop manual.
It would be good to get the wiring diagrams in the Eleectrical & Vacuum Trouble-Shooting manual for your year also.
Ebay is a good place to look for these.
I take it your 1988 Class "C" is a 1987 Ford E350. I know your title say 1988 but go by the VIN number to find the year as it could also be a 1986.
Post the VIN number without the last four numbers and we can tell you more about it.
You are not going to find a shop manual for the home part of the unit.
You will just have ask question on the Forum.

I think you are correct, because by the drivers door has some references to 86 and 87.

In any case, here is my VIN:

1FDKE30G6JHA5xxxx

Any great news?

Could you confirm which service manuals is recommended for this camper?

Thanks in advance,

BB
