F53 electric trailer brake under dash connector

Hi All,
I have a new to me '06 Fleetwood Fiesta 32S on the Ford F53 chassis. I want to install an electric brake controller for a tow dolly. I've contorted myself every which way and am still unable to locate an open connector other than the OBDII under the dash area. Or is this a pass thru connection with a pigtail for the controller? Help!
Thanks

On mine it is under the dash about even and above the parking brake handle.
You might check withFleetwood and ask them if it installed.

I think it is supplied with the chassis. Mine was tie wraped with other cables behind the speedometer. My dash lifts up for access.

Hi All,
Thanks for the replies they gave me the fortitude to try under the dash again and I found it. Why do they make it so hard to find?

Hi All it's me again,
Well you helped me find that elusive brake controller connector when I'd given up and I thank you for that. Now what ford pig tail harness did you use? I bought the Tekonsha 3065-P because I have a prodigy controller and the box said ford super duty. But the ford side is not the mate to the cable. Did I find the wrong under dash connector? or does the f53 not use the super duty cable?
Help!

Thanks Richard. I looked at their web site just now and the connector looks more like what I have on the MH.

Good Morning Richard S. Also have a Sea Breeze. Looking for the fuse panel under the steering well, near the brake pedal as indicated in the owner's manuel. NOT FINDING IT! What am I missing?

Keith

I had the same question regarding the correct wiring harness to use in attaching a Prodigy brake controller to my 2007 F-53 chassis. Below is the email response from Tekonsha regarding the proper adapter to use.

I will be buying the 3035-P based on your experience with the 3065-P harness.

Don

Don,

Thank you for contacting Technical Support. In response to your email, the wiring harness you would need if the chassis design follows a Super Duty design would be a Tekonsha #3065-P wiring harness. If the vehicle design follows an E-Series vehicle then the harness would be a Tekonsha #3035P. If you have any questions or need further assistance feel free to write back or contact us at (888) 785-5832.
