F53 fuel fill issues

Ive done some reading and seen this referenced in a few different threads.

I really have to milk it to get the last 10 gallons or so in at the pump. I dont have this issue if I dump from one of the race cans because they dont aerate the gas as much.

Ive read up on various F53 fueling issues, and this seems to be a common one. I checked my lines, and they are level, however, the vent line has a pretty serious restriction that I think causes the aerated gas (bubbles) to burp back up the filler neck. In other words, the tank cant vent as fast as the nozzle fills it.

Thoughts?

Have you tried lowering the flow rate from the pump nozzle when filling your tank? I've found it works pretty well when fueling up our coach. Just a thought...

We have a 99 F53 H/R & I've found if I lower the drivers side leveling jacks to tilt the coach, I can fill the tank completely.
It is a bit of trouble going through the process, but it really helps getting the tank as full as its suppose to be on fill ups.
I've been doing it so long, the fuel fill up process dont take any longer than normal, so I'm not holding anybody up behind me waiting.
Sometimes, I think some must think your suppose to camp out at the pump they take so long, but its the RV lane & its something we just have to deal with.
Anyways, I try to get out of the way quick as I can.

It helps, but it still burps.

I might try lowering the jacks like Niel suggested. Ive heard of a few people doing that, although ultimately, I'd like to correct the issue.

After crawling under & looking at the fill hose on mine, looks like the only way to correct the problem, would be to have a larger opening on the side of the fuel tank, a larger fill hose & vent hose so that the fuel flowing in could go in easier.
At one time looking at mine, the rubber hose that connected to the tank & to the down spout to fill the tank, that hose was lower than the opening in the side of the tank, so I made a prop type thing to support the rubber hose & keep it more level to the tank opening, still didnt correct the problem.
Only thing that has solved the problem, is tilting the coach with the leveling jacks.
