I need a wiring diagram for mt 1999 F53 chassis. Can anyone suggest where I can get the diagram. Maybe a manual which includes the digram.

I need the chassis diagram. I am doing extinsive modifications to a chassis from a 1999 Damon Intruder on a 20,500lb F53 chassis. Right now the igniton switch turns on the electrical system but does not engage the starter. It is likely that something is disconnected. Finding the trouble is much easier with a wiring diagram. While I generally don't like Haynes manuals they do have rather complete wiring digrams in the back. I don't think that they have one for the F53. I have considered getting a Haynes manual for a V10 equipped truck and hoping that the wiring is the same or similar to the F53.

Take a look on e-bay under Ford truck shop manual. I saw a couple there today but they didn't say exactly what series trucks were covered.
I bought an official 2001 Ford Truck Shop Manual on CD a couple years ago for less than $30.00. It included the E and F series trucks all the way from the 150's to the 750's and a complete section on the F53.
If you get the Ford one it's a complete service manual and has sections on body (except for F53), chassis, engine, transmission, emmissions, running gear, wiring, etc.

I don't remember the name of the vendor on E-Bay. I just looked through the Ford Truck Shop Manuals on CD until I found one that was advertised as being a genuine Ford manual. I asked the vendor what models it covered since I was looking for one that would include the F53.
They wrote back all the trucks it covered and the F53 was in the mix. If I remember correctly it was a "buy it now" sale for $29.95 (plus shipping) which added another $5.00
Here's a link for a 2000 - 2001 manual that includes the wiring diagrams.

I don't know if there's any difference between 1999 and 2000. You might ask the vendor if they have one for 1999.

Andy
I have a similar problem on my 2000 windsport on a F 53 chassis the ignition switch energizes the electrical system but will not engage the starter. I have managed to get the motor to start by jumping the relay I have traced the problem to the area between the ignition switch on the column and the neutral safety switch. I have contanuity between the trans and the relay .
I read a Thread where you were tracing a simular problem what did you find

Robert, sorry I didn't see this sooner. It looks liek you figured it out though. Dad solved the problem and I don't know where the problem was. I can ask him if you need me to. He used wiring diagrams that my local Ford dealer generously provided.
