Fan Clutch Whine?
As the title states. When pulling a hill a very high pitch whine starts and the only way to get it to stop is to let out on the gas and reduce RPM. It starts around the 30 sec mark and is MUCH louder in person than this video shows.
I think it is related to the fan clutch, but not sure. Any ideas?
Turn up the speakers rather loud to hear the sound...it is very high pitch.

I'd be more worried if I didn't hear the fan clutch kick in.
Did you notice what your coolant temp was when the noise started?
I'm gonna bet about 220F.

You can see it on his scan gauge. 209F.

That sounds more like a bearing in part of the serpentine assembly to me. IT's that super-high pitch? When our fan kicks in (04 Ford) you hear the roar, not that high pitched whine.
IT's gonna be hard to find until it starts happening more.

Can anyone tell me where I can find a parts list for the V10 engine for our F53 chassis?

What parts are you looking for? Engine parts would be very labor intensive to give name and part numbers for all the engine parts.

they do it all the time. Ford should have a microfiche of everything. Just looking for a source.
Specifically looking for a 2012 F53 6.8L V10 fan clutch.

Found it on Fordparts.com. I entered my vin and it pulled up my F53 chassis.

I haven't seen microfiche for parts since the mid 90's when dealers went to computers. It is highly VIN driven because part numbers seems to always change through the years.

Well I finally figured out what the noise is on the coach. The ford tech that was driving it for another reason heard the noise and said it is the water pump pulley "ringing" from belt slip. He said a new belt would correct it, but said he wouldn't bother. Done.

If what you are hearing is in fact related to a bearing whine it can usually be picked up at idle with a stethascope. It won't sound exactly the same as when turning at 4,000 but a good tech can pick it up. If it is an idler pulley bearing they are usually cheap. The bearing can be pressed out so you don't have to replace the entire unit. The bearing is no more than $5.
