All the vehicles that I own are either Jeeps of Fords
My "RV" is built from a F-700 truck.

Would that be a Class "U" motorhome?

Yes i guess it would be.

You remember how the old winnes had THe long stripe down the side with the big "W" made into it.

My 8.1 frequently and easily passes even the 350 HP and lesser Diesels in the mountains and when in moderate roads the 7.4 to 9.1 mpg's make the V-10 Lubbers cringe.

To each... his or her own, I drive what I believe in and I drive it for recreation and relaxation and try not to ever engage in "oneupsmanship". Maintain it, drive it like you want it to last, and enjoy all that RVing has to offer us ! Nuff Said !

WELL... I own both 2002 8.1 and 2011 V10, first is in 3500 towing a 5er weight 22,000#, second is in a F53, 26K chassis towing a Hummer H3 weight 29,000". Both are around same MPG, but going thrugh KY on I-75 the Ford V10 is better on hills. Please, do not take this wrong I'm a Chevy man from way back, but you must admit they do not make the Workhorse or 8.1 for motorhome any more.
