Ford Commercial Truck Service Center?

I can not ask the correct questions on how to get Ford warranty work on motorhome. Tried local dealer, does not handle motor homes. You need to go to a commercial truck center for F-53 service. So I ask where? He didn't know, told me to try diesel repair5 hours away. Told him it was gas and that there should be a heavy duty ford truck service center that can do repair of broken sway bar mount. He said I needed to go on line and find one. Totally clueless and he is service mgr at auto dealer. So I google and get all the dealers wanting to sell and service F150 super dutys. I called several others and was told they don't work on motorhomes. They would recommend some non ford diesel truck service and repair shop.
How do I find one?

Have a buddy with ford chassis class a. Same excuses from everyone. In Houston with 5 million people. Only one place works on that chassis. And it's 1.5 HR from him. Makes no sense.

Thanks Cliff. It is amazing how clueless the Ford dealerships can be!

From Danville, VA probably the closest Ford Truck Service Center might be Piedmont Ford Truck Sales in Greenboro, NC. The only other I know for sure is Colonial Ford in Richmond. Might be something in Roanoke or Raleigh. Your search key words are "ford commercial truck service". Run the search from a map view rather than just a standard word or phrase search. Using a map search will limit the search to a geographical area. The bigger the view the more returns. You will still get a few hits for auto dealers in the mix so you'll need to weed them out. Easy to pick out true truck service centers with a satellite map view. If the lot has more cars then trucks move on to the next one found.

To add insult to injury your fuel cost and time to get the coach to someone who can service it could cost you more that buying the hardware and fixing it yourself. Consider attempting to negotiating with Ford to have someone either a bit closer or a mobile mechanic do the work. Worst case is they refuse but you won't know unless you try.

You neighborhood daily driver dealership will never be much help other than for parts. Their focus centers around what they sell and service to the consumer market and they will not service a vehicle that can not fit into their service bays.

I was recommended a Ford service center for my F53 chassis from an RV dealer.

If they don't sell or service the product why would they have any knowledge as to who does. Any information they would have would be the result of word of mouth, or researching the subject because of questions asked.

It's like asking the lawn mower dealer that sells Honda lawnmowers where to get your Honda Element or Goldwing serviced. They're all made by the same parent company, but have totally different sales and service networks.

The information supplied with your motorhome should have included an incomplete chassis owners manual for the F53 chassis. The "Customer Assistance" section begins on page 55. This section includes phone numbers, mailing addresses, and online resources as to where to find service locations for the Ford chassis:
