I have the F53 Chassis. The parking brakes seems to work fine and does hold the MH when depressed fully. The feel is different from any brake I have previously used. The brake has no increased resistance as it pushed to the maximum. Is this normal - any comments appreciated.

Don't know about the mushy feel but you can adjust the cable. The E-brake is the round drum that is mounted on the back of the trans. just tighten the cable.

At the same time you could check the fluid inside the the e-brake, it's the small pipe plug just above the cable hard to see but it's there and takes auto trans fluid till it just starts to run out.

Check the fluid level. Fill (use Mercon) till the Mercon starts to dribble out and quickly replug. Fill reservoir when RV is parked on level ground. IF fluid looks discolored, remove the old (with suction tube) and then refill. Pic of fill hole on e-brake...

Get a 17mm socket to remove the plug. It's a lot easier to do if you remove the cable from the housing. There is a little clip you have to push in with a screwdriver to get the cable end out of the housing.

My brake pedal feels the same as yours. The release cable also feels loose, not much tension on it when you go to release it compared to other vehicles.
