Ford Service

Can anyone recommend a Ford dealership for warranty service on a Class A motorhome in south central Indiana? Spoke to my RV dealer service rep today about the Brake/Brake Reserve System lights and they said they cannot do work on the chassis, just the coach part.....have to take it to Ford. Then proceeded to tell me to take it to a dealer almost 3 hours away. Not real happy about that. I asked if they could find one closer and she said she would have to call me back. I guess I expected them to sort of act as a go between with a Ford dealer for chassis service issues.

We live in Indy and I just called around here and found two dealers one on the south side that work on the big trucks. Which is what they call a motorhome. How far south of Indy are you?

Trust me, you want a Ford truck dealer working on your chassis--I went to a big rv dealer for a brake problem and they couldn't even get the right parts in...twice. Also, Ford warrants its parts, any Ford dealer will warrant the labor too. An rv dealer may use Ford parts but the labor is only going to be warranted by that rv dealer. Not a real help when something goes wrong the next day 500 miles away.

Call Ford Motorhome Division - they will find you the nearby Ford dealers than can handle your rig.

Thanks for all the replies.

John58; I live about 30 minutes SW of Bloomington. Just off of the newly opened stretch of I-69.

Ford Service

I know of the ones near Indy. I got them by just calling a local dealer.
Haven't been that down way since they opened it. The construction was a mess. If your ever up this way let me know.

The reason I mention calling Ford Motorhome Division: you will get into the database for future reference if they don't fix your issue. And you should ask for and get your file/incident number that you can have them look up each time to assure they're recording and tracking this issue. I will be to your benefit in case they don't fix it and you might have to resort to <ahem> other means of resolving the issue....best to be prepared.

I found the in NAPA Auto parts for my 1999 E450 chassis.

I put in the VIN #. They had rubber or poly bushings available.

Another place would be a sway bar manufacturer like Hendrickson.

I would hope they would support their products.

Search on.

Can you please let me know what dealerships you've taken your RV to? I'm in Indianapolis and need to get mine in for AC work and an oil change.

Thank you!
