I've noticed a clicking noise recently on my 2005 Winnebago Sightseer 2005. I used the jacks to lift them off the ground, spun both wheels and no noise. However I did note although the wheels did spin there seemed to be some resistance(slight drag) and I'm wondering if this is the norm. I guess I'm expecting them to spin freely like a bike tire, etc. Thought I'd ask first before I run to the shop with it. BTW the brakes are working well. Txs Dave

I pulled them off already which didn't help. My concern now is the wheel spinning...it appears there should be some resistance. I can tolerate the clicking if it not something major.

The resistance may be your disc brakes. They will contact the rotors & cause some resistance, you just need to decide if this is brake drag (which is normal) or something more. Remember you are rotating a large wheel assy, not a 900gram bike wheel. If you determine the resistance is more than brake drag, my next inspection would be bearings.
One more thought; a clicking noise would drive me crazy until I found the culprit. Can you tell if it is coming from both front wheels or just from the front area? Just a thought, stones stuck in the tread? Is the clicking noise constant &/or continous?

Disc brakes will drag a slight amount and you may hear a schoop schoop sound. If there is much resistance or the rotor is warped, you need to get this fixed.

The clicking may be the wheel covers or liners. As a test, you can bend the retainer clips a bit for more tension.

It may be the wear indicator in the disk brake pads.

I'll have them checked at next LOF in November. I've got about 35,000 miles on them. I think the resistance is normal but you never know.

The wear indicators do not click, they squeal or grind.

drum brakes have a spring to pull them back in after applying the brakes. disc brakes do NOT have a return spring. They rely on the rotor to get hot and expand and push the pad back. Then when the rotor cools it gives a small clearance between the rotor and the pad. there is always a slight drag on the disc brake. If you can turn the wheel without straining, you are OK.
