We recently purchased our 1995 Class C. It only had 11k miles on it. It runs great and the coach is in pretty good condition. I normally give any vehicle I buy a complete tuneup so that I know the current state of the vehicle. I'm wanting to do the same to the RV. I'll be doing all of the work myself so here is what I have in mind:

Mobil 1 synthetic in engine and tranny
Engine oil and tranny filter
sparkplugs, wires, cap & rotor
Engine coolant
Serpentine belt (keep old one for a spare)
Fuel filter
Gibson headers and full exhaust
New shocks

I've replaced the tires since they were over 8 years old and the brakes look new. The generator was just serviced and the house battery is new. Some think I'm wasting money since the vehicle has such low miles but I look at it as it is 14 years old and still could benefit from a tune up. What are your thoughts.

I would only replace things that rot or degrade with age. Belts, hoses and fluids. Not cap.rotor, plugs exhaust. Like my dad used to say, "Drive it like you stole it" and then fix what breaks.

Good idea. I thought about replacing the radiator hoses too. I will inspect the cap and rotor for it's condition. The spark plugs are a cheap replacement so those will be changed. The reason for the exhaust is to provide a bit more power and allow the engine to run a little cooler. I've read the factory exhaust manifolds on the 460's are pretty restrictive.

Bottom line is we are getting ready to drive a couple thousand miles this December for a vacation and I want to ensure I don't have any problems. I would hate to have a belt or hose break when I thought about replacing it previously.
