Gear selector is a little off on my F53

Is thre any adjustment that I can do here. Not a big deal, but the drive gear indicator on the stearing colum is off a little so you need to really think when you shift so you knowwhat gear you are in. This is on a new 2012 Thor ACE 29.2.

If I remember right, the indicator arrow is a little too far to the left. thx

A 2012 will still be warranty by Ford. Take it in and have them align the PRNDL. Seems to me there was a recall or TSB on the Ford PRNDL for some year not to long ago.

FORD IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2011 F-53 AND F-59 STRIPPED CHASSIS VEHICLES MANUFACTURED FROM FEBRUARY 1, 2010 THROUGH JULY 1, 2011 AND CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2012 F-53 AND F-59 STRIPPED CHASSIS VEHICLES MANUFACTURED FROM MAY 10, 2011 THROUGH OCTOBER 25, 2011. THE ‘PRNDL’ CABLE MAY BREAK AT THE ATTACHMENT TO THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL SELECTOR ARM ASSEMBLY MOUNTED ON THE STEERING COLUMN. IF THE CABLE BREAKS, THE TRANSMISSION GEAR INDICATOR IN THE ‘PRNDL’ DISPLAY IN THE INSTRUMENT PANEL WILL REMAIN IN THE FIRST GEAR POSITION REGARDLESS OF THE GEAR SELECTED.
Consequence:
AN INCORRECT GEAR INDICATION IN THE INSTRUMENT PANEL MAY PREVENT THE DRIVER FROM KNOWING IF THEY ARE IN PARK OR REVERSE, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
Remedy:
FORD WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION SELECTOR ARM ASSEMBLY AND THE ‘PRNDL’ CABLE ASSEMBLY, FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN ON OR ABOUT MARCH 2, 2012. OWNERS MAY CONTACT FORD MOTOR COMPANY CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP CENTER AT 1-866-436-7332.

X-2. There was recall on that, surprised yours wasn't done by dealer. Our local Ford dealer did it, had the MH for a day..

Our dealer even drove our Winnebago about 80 miles each way to have the recall done for us, of course there were a couple other Ford issues on the work order.

I agree that the recall issue needs to be pursued, but this doesn't fit the symptoms of the recall.

If you find that the recall has been performed, or does not apply, there is an easy procedure to adjust the pointer.

Note the thing that keeps the pointer can also break, but you can get creative... Pretty common problem.

If you take all the dash junk apart, you should see a small thumb-wheel to adjust where the pointer is. Mine had also jumped out of position a bit.

I too had mine out of adjustment. I reached up under the dash, found the cable going to the gear indicator and found the small wheel as mentioned above.
I just turned the wheel while watching the indicator and was good to go.
This was on my Georgie Boy on a Ford chassis.

How far do you thinkthe adjustment know is from the steering wheel? and is it mounted in a way where you can see it like on the bottom of the column? thanks
