Heat through vents?

I notice that when I turn the heat on high and turn the dial to Mix it mostly blows through the floor vents. There is no way for me to get heat to blow through the dash vents on high. Is this normal?

does it have a bi-level selection on the dial?

Depending on your HEVAC system, Selecting "VENT" may work.
