Question Heater Hose ID

Does anyone know what the ID is for the heater hose? I'm replacing the upper and lower radiator hose's and wanted to order the heater hose also.
Thanks, Bob

I did change a hose on our 2013 chassis in the engine compartment and it was 5/8" ID. It was wearing a hole because it was resting on a sheet metal shroud edge.

Unless it has changed since I left in 2006 most used 5/8". We did have some that was 1/2" but not much. I doubt they've gone to 3/4" or 1". Any parts house (with a decent counter tech) can tell you what ID is used on any vehicle.

Guess what....Mine has 3/4" heater hose. I bought and cut the 5/8" hose to size and it was way to tight and would not fit on the engine coolant ports (just barely fit the heater core and control valve) so off to the parts store for 3/4" hose. Fit great!

I left the 5/8' hose was on. The only 3/4" port was the front engine port. I bought a short piece on 3/4" and a 5/8"' to 3/4' brass reducer. I don't know why the one port was different. Sorry if there was any confusion.
