Good Day All!

Hope everyone had a good weekend

My 2002 Damon Challenger 335 is built on a 2001 Ford 20,500 lb chassis.

The horn has decided to stop working.

I have the Ford Chassis workshop manual and here is what I have found so far.

Within the Power Distribution Box (AKA Battery Junction Box) (located just above the radiator) there is a 20 amp fuse (#18) that is always hot. It is wired to terminals 2 and 3 of the horn relay (Relay # 3). Both terminals of the female relay plug should be hot at all times. The fuse tests good and Terminal 3 shows voltage to ground. Terminal 2 shows 0 volts.

My problem is this. I want to remove the box from its mounting brackets so I can look at the wire between the fuse and relay terminal 2 to see if is broken. I originally thought there were four mounting tabs for the box but I just noticed there may be 8. Before I go any further and break something I should not be messing with, I thought I should check with the experts on this forum

Has anyone else ever removed this box to look at the wiring on the back side? If so, how did you go about removing the box from the mounting tabs and how many tabs (and which ones) did you have to mess with?

Hope you can help me

Thanks

Preston

Is this the box the fuse panel is mounted in? If you move panel other wires may cause a problem. Never removed it I would check ground wiring or have someone activate horn button to see if you get voltage across horn terminals or relay.

Welcome to irv2 by the way.
