With gasoline prices climbing toward $5.00 I'm looking for a locking gas cap for my 2006 F53 chassis. Anyone have any brands and cat numbers?

I'm also going to lock up my gas.

I found the Fram model RG-502 fits my 2005 just fine. It also fits my 2003 F150 PU.

Thanks BigRedLancer, Good information. I'm also reading on another site that all the responders are NOT going to install a locking gas cap. They'd rather have the gas stolen than get a hole punched in the tank or a cut gas line.

I don't think it's possible to get a hose down to the gas in a motorhome. Maybe someone will try and post if it's possible.

BigRedLancer, I've tried Fram 502 and gas caps without any luck. The Fram site didn't list gas caps, locking or not. Where did you get the Fram number?

Tom, I hope it is NOT possible to put a hose in the gas filler pipe in a RV. I'm not willing to attempt it though.

You can't get a hose to the gas because there is a check valve in the filler tube. The check valve prevents all the gas from running out if the vehicle overturns and is also part of the vapor recovery system.

And you can't punch a hole in the tank because the tanks on both Ford and Workhorse are plate steel.

Gas siphoning days are over. Everyone can relax.

Lost my posting just before sending it to thread. Don't know where this mess came from. As I had originally posted, I bought a locking Ford gas cap a couple of years ago when gas hit $2.15 a gallon. Still using it. We got home late one evening. I pulled the MH into my driveway front first. The next morning, the gas cap at the street was dangling. I checked the fuel gauge, & couldn't see any change in the level. Maybe the post above explains why. Anyway glad that I have mine. Thinking of getting two caps for my pickup (2 tanks) now that gas is $3.70.
