Love the oil filler neck above the hood!😤
My 2016 Bay Star V10 has the oil filler tube that extends above the hood opening. Have to use a small funnel and barely enough room to stick a quart container inside and slowly pour the oil in. I had to add a little on the road and had to only use a container 1/2 full. If they had made the filler neck 3 " shorter it would be a snap. I usually have had it changed at a MH shop, but hate to have to bring it out for them to do it. I'm going no to change myself this time.
I bought a small fluid transfer pump from Harbor Frieght. Going to try that for those gallon Mobil 1 jugs. Just looks like a mess ready to happen.

That won't work. Not enough room.

Can you take the motor cover off inside the MH, and get to the valve cover opening's?
I "fill" your pain, (pun intended),
I had a 1990 Overland on a Oshkosh chassis with the Ford 460 motor, and it was the same thing under the front hood, , what were they thinking?
I had to fill mine from the valve covers when changing the oil!
Rail!

I have a 1999 so I don't have this problem.
Has anyone looked at cutting the hose in the dog house and placing the fill cap in the dog house?

On another thread I recently saw someone who used a plastic tube like you might siphon a fish tank with connected to a funnel. They said it worked, although I haven't tried it yet.

I fill the oil through the dog house, I just pop off the filler tube and pure it in there.

Ford built the filler tube long before Bay Star put a house on top of it.
"They" should have paid a little more attention to the house 'they' were designing.
What you need is a 'hose cap' for a quart oil bottle, very common in aviation where the fill port is often well inside a cowl. It's a cap with a hose on it and often a little valve or cap on the end of the hose. You put it on the oil bottle, stick the hose in the fill port and lift and tip the bottle. Easey peasey.

Isn't it kind of a PITA dragging your PU around just to add a quart while you're on the road?

I screwed up. I never checked it when they changed it a week before I left. They may have under filled it. So I don't know if it was using or underfilled.

If you get one of these funnels and and take the fitting off the funnel it makes adding oil easy. Remove the fitting and the hose. Screw the fitting on a quart bottle. There is and adapter built in so if you have the wider mouth quarts like Mobil 1 take out the adapter. You close the fitting and when you get it the bottle turned upside down and in the fill tube you turn the blue part and it opens the fitting. You have to hold the black part of the fitting so it doesn't unscrew.
