Can someone tell me why my 2006 F-53 needed 3" worth of spacers between the front axle and the springs to make my RV level? I went into detail with this on a different forum. I thought I had spacers on the back but there is none after double checking. Has anyone else ever encountered this problem?

My axle weights are all within specs, actually safely below limits. I don't think the springs are shot. Something isn't right but I can't figure it out.

Thanks.

If you want to level up, my advice is to instll Ride Rite air bags. Kill two birds with one stone.Bring the front up and Give a much softer ride. Very easy to install. Only two holes to drill. They cost about $375.00

Had two Ford F-53's back in 98 & 99 that I had to add leaf springs all around to level coach on 98 and I install Air-Lift bags all around on 99.
The Ford chassis at that time could not carry the Newmar coach box.
You have a newer coach maybe its not the newer Ford F-53 chassis and will require more support.
Adding blocks or shims will not add anything in spring support for same weight box your carrying on chassis.

Well, I'm not sure what to do. Right now, I am trying to find out if it is in fact ok to have those lifting blocks. I would actually just prefer to have them left in place. I really don't want any type of air product, just more stuff to break IMO. I suppose I will end up replacing the front springs eventually. I'm still doing research. Axle wrap, the is my big worry.

I like the air bag option, only Air-Lift, Less expensive and it's a Michigan Company (Hey, Michigan pays me every month, I used to work for them)

The other option is weak springs.. For that you need professional help, Weak springs happen due to either overload or old age or both.

Overload can (epically on the front end of a gasser) be caused by bad design. (Using too "light" a spring)

Still researching. I did have Air Lift on my list thought just in case.

A good spring shop will add the correct springs to lift and level coach.
Springs have different tensions your existing springs would stay and I'm sure they will remove blocks. You will not need them.
New springs all four wheels and new alignment may run you 1200 to 1300 you will have a better controlled motor home..
My air bag system cost about same money, only I installed them, would cost you if you did not do yourself. You have to drill couple holes in frame for each mount at rear wheels.
