Lubrication and other chassis needs?

Coach is a 99 pace arrow, F53 V10. 29 thousand and change miles, and I put 7000 of those on last summer, the first year I owned it.

I changed the engine oil when I bought it, and cannot recall if I did after our trip or not.

I am going to change the oil and filter today.
Will also lube any zerks I find on the chassis.

U-joints, and driveshaft bearings, are these greasable?
Of course I will check the axle lube, but with no sign of leaks this shouldn't need anything, should it?

With less than 30k miles in 11 years... should I change the trans oil and filter?
this is my first Ford, is the trans filter inside the oil pan like a chevy?

Here is a link to F-53 Lube Points. You should flush and replace the transmission fluid and also flush and replace the brake fluid. You should also grease the brake caliper slides.

Thanks John, excellent info!
The lube point chart is bookmarked.
I need to go back to napa and get some hi-temp goop for the brake slides.

Flushing and replacing the brake fluid sounds like some really good cheap insurance. I haven't messed with anti lock hydraulics before, I wouldn't suppose the ole gravity method will work here?
As in open all the bleeders, keep the master full, and just let her drip, closing the bleeders as they run clear?

To make it a one man job you can use Speed Bleeders, they are inexpensive and make it easy. You should probably also flush and change your radiator and cooling system.

Or you can do one caliper at a time w/the gravity method. Probably take an hour.

Hi JimM68,
With my ten year old gasser with 19,500 miles bought 9/3/09 the following has been done to the engine and drive train:
Lube, oil change and filter. Change oil and filter on generator. Change coolant, flush radiator, change radiator and heater hoses, install bearings on sway bar, tighten a frame bushings, new front air bags, new alternator, new batteries, wheel alignment.
After winter storage my plans are to change the brake fluid, pack front wheel bearings, check serpentine belt, check engine air filter/cleaner. check tire pressure and dates manufacture, change engine oil, filter and lube chassis, filter & oil change for generator.
Just my .02,
Milt
