I have a 2010 Open Road 32 BA with Michelin 235/80R22.5 L/R G tires. I have a little over 15,000 miles on the M/H. When driving on most concrete surfaces, the tires make, as best I can describe it, a singing noise. On smooth asphalt roads they are virtually silent. I have had it looked at by an alignment shop that is very knowledgible about M/H's and played with tire pressures to no avail.
Any suggestions?
Wayne

Some tire tread designs and compounds do that.

It's the road surface.
Concrete Roadways, have little groves cut into them to drain off water. they make the siniging sounds you speak of. And, just to drive the point home, check out this URL.

I guess I've never noticed while driving. That was a cool youtube video for an explanation though.

Most often it's caused by the tread design, the more aggressive the tread the more they "sing". An all weather tire will make more noise then a highway tread, an all terrain will make more noise and a mud/snow tire even more noise.

Only on cement--it's the grooves and maybe the tires, or they would sing regardless.
We all wish for a 1000 miles of new asphalt straight and level, don't we?
Mine Michelins are in the key of E#. If I sqiggle my front tires I can play Stardust. The Hogey Charmichael version.
