Moving Chassis Start Battery

I have a 2003 Winnebago Adventurer. Both the Chassis and Coach batteries are located under the step. I would like to move to 4 6 volt GC batteries. I come up short by a fraction of an inch on the battery tray. I would like to move the Chassis Start Battery forward. Has anyone fabricated a tray and mounted it forward?

We had a couple of trade-ins where the previous owner had let the trays get eat up by acid. A new tray is easily fabricated from 1 1/2 in. steel angle. If you don't have access to a welder, any welding shop can make one for you.
