On the 2004 F53 the Power distribution box is above the radiator, under the hood. There is another fuse box above it on the fire wall. I cannot find any information on this panel, or what the fuses are for. It is a larger box than the PDB below it. There is nothing in the Ford Owners Guide or in the Hurricane owners manual. Does anyone know about this box, and maybe have a fuse designation list for it? By the way, the cover for this box is missing. I called Ford parts to get a new one and they said they didn't know which of three listed covers fit, but the cost could be from $30.00 to $300.00. Not much help there.
Thanks for any information.

Bob

Have you considered posting to find an owner on this forum that has your specific coach. If the owner would pull the cover and give you the stamped # you could find one. All FORD parts have some identifying #'s stamped in the plastic. I'd sure hate to pay over $30.00 for a plastic fuse cover. If you have a Ford # a salvage yard might have the part you need.
Good Luck...

Thanks for the quick reply, subford.
That is the fuse panel on the fire wall just left of the brake pedal, on the inside of the coach. The one I'm looking for is under the hood, directly above PDB.
Thanks again
Bob

Thanks skipwil for the reply to my question. The Motorhome is listed in my signature. A Four Winds Hurricane 32R.

Then that one was put there by the RV builder.
You need a diagram from the RV builder and Ford will not have any cover for it as it is not their box.

Are you talking about the Battery Control Module? If so there are several fuses and 2 selinoids on it.

Hello Shellback1:
Sorry for the delay in responding to your post. Yes it is the Battery Control Panel. I contacted the manufacturer and they say the cover is no longer available. I guess I'll just have to make one to cover it. I don't like having all those fuses exposed to what ever gets up under the hood.
Thanks
Bob

Very little gets that far up under the hood

Try an RV-Salvage store for the cover... May be able to get one used for a fraction of the price the company would charge you if they had 'em new.
