Mystery Switch

1999 34 Tiffany Alegro Bay. Hope someone can help, on our newly purchased MH there is a toggle switch on the dash we can't figure out. It has orange wires one brings power in and the other goes to what appears to be a small vaccum canister under the hood on the firewall. I don't know if the previous owner or the coach builder sparyed foam insulation on the firewall but this wire and little canister are covered wiith foam.

Thanks
Mike

could it be an auxiliary vacuum pump for vacuum controls on the HVAC system?

Picture

I will try and post a picture today.

I do know the switch is powered only in the run position. The previous owner is deceased and his children are not familiar with the workings of the coach.
The owner did tow a Saturn and the coach came with a Falcon towbar. Anyone familiar with this set up and is a powered switch required.

Thanks
Mike

You might check the back of the motorhome by the reciever for a quick disconect hookup for an air hose. We have the m&g engineering brake system on our couch that connects to the toad. That is where the air connection is.

Air hook up

Thanks for the input I will look for it in the morning. Do you pull a Saturn?
What does the air hose operate?

Thanks
Mike

The air hose operates the brakes on the Toad and also the the brake-away on the Toad if it is so equipped.
I also use the M&G braking system with brake-away.

No, I pull a 2008 HHR four down. As subford mentionedit operstes the toad brake system. I like it because there is nothing on the floor of the toad to get my feet tangled on. It will work with either Air or Hydraulic brakes.
