On my 95 Holiday Rambler F53 there is a big vacumn hose that comes from the oil input pipe on the passenger side valve cover that has come off. Does anybody know where the other end goes? The hose is about 3 feet long and is about 1 inch in diameter. I have looked everywhere and cannot see where it is supposed to go. I would appreciate your help. I know this great forum will come thru.

There should be a PCV valve that that hose is plugged into. On older vehicles it simply drooped down the side of the motor to purge the oil fumes out and away from the motor. On newer vehicles it is usually routed to a canister of some sort generally on the wheel well that is a big filter to trap the oil fumes.

It goes to the air cleaner box.

Mine was off too when I bough it and hanging down on the passenger side.
Not easy to get back on but you can do it.

It takes clean air from the Air cleaner and routes it to the valve cover on the drivers side.

Two photos before I put the hose back on the Air Box:

Thanks Subford. I was hoping you would see this post. I dont see where on the cleaner box. I see one bigger hose already on the bottom of the air cleaner spout.

There are more than two hose connections on the box.

I edited the above post so you might want to reload it.

Here is a diagram of the system. Item number three is the hose we are talking about.

This "breather" hose is often disconnected in the mistaken belief that doing so will increase fuel mileage.

It is also unhooked to keep the paper air filter element from being clogged by "blowby" oil from the engine crankcase on high mileage engines.

This hose is part of the pollution control system and it is illegal to disconnect it.
