New F53 Lug Nuts are loose!

I have been chasing a driveline vibration and just discovered that the rear lug nuts were loosely installed. They were probably only torqued just enough as to not have fallen off; Yet @ 7,000 miles.

I got a good half turn before hitting 140 lbs. of torque.

FYI - 13/16 socket. 2015 16,000 lb. 158" wheelbase frame.

If you didnt, you should check the studs for wear in near the wheels. The studs could be thinned out from the shifting wheels.

Glad you caught it. It is recommended to re torque the lug nuts after 100-200 miles.

If those are 22" wheels, I believe the torque is 450 ft lbs.

19.5

Finally got a chance to take a drive and the vibration is gone.

I'm not reinstalling the wheel simulators at this point so I can keep a closer eye on the lug nuts torque.

Or stretched from overtorquing. If either condition exists the studs will need replacing.

The studs are not thinned or stretched.

Now I need a nap.

That is correct.

But I don't think the OP's are that big. Not sure.
