This chassis will give Workhorse a run for the money.
All the problems WH had when they first came out with their new chassis and has been since corrected, Ford wasn't going to make the same mistakes.
This maybe the only gas chassis on the market and Ford REP said they are sticking with the V-10 with much improved transmission.
Ford calls it their designed MOTOR HOME CHASSIS not the truck chassis of old.

This is a 2007 article. Isn't that news a bit dated?

Looks like the F-59 is the truck version of the F-53 motorhome chassis. Curious the truck version gets a 5.38 axle and the motorhome version a 4.88.

Axle ratio was to be new for 2011. As was reported here:
DriVer's Ford F series for 2011 blog
I'll have to dig a little and see if things have changed

Not many A builders using less than 20,500 GVWR

Ahhh, 3 axles ratios now. Didn't quite catch the 16,000 and 18,000 in DriVer's report. Thanks.
