No Trailer Running Lites 2007 E-450 RV Chassis Actually, the trailer is a towed car. The car has been wired with diodes and all that jazz directly from the 4 pin connector at the grille to the tail lites. A factory made 7 to 4 lanyard connects the car and the MH. I check turn and brakes every day before running but never worried about running lites as we never tow after dark. I assume they worked at one time. Anyhow, a couple of days ago for reasons I no longer recall, I checked the running lites and have none. 2 days of rain and fog since-oh woe!
In my checking so far, I have concluded that I have no power to the running lite pin in 7 pin connector so the problem is likely in the MH chassis unless something further along in the toad caused a blown fuse. I found a blown 20 amp fuse under the MH hood in the fuse and relay box to the right hand side , Nothing changed after changing it and it still appears to have no voltage on either side of the new fuse. There is also a relay in the box relating to running lites. I traded this relay with another relay of the same configuration that i deemed was not being used and still no go. The underdash fusebox is a nightmare to see and reach but I cannot determine any fuse there that comes into the circuits I'm working on.
Of course, I make the checks with the head lights on ,engine running and all MH lights are on. How many switches, relays and fuses come into play when I turn on the headlight switch and expect there to be 12 volts at the running light pin on the rear bumper? If anyone could supply a wiring diagram, that would be wonderful. I'm thinking I'm going to end up paying a pro but would like to be able to channel the effort in the most effective directions.
Praying for sun in SE Texas tomorrow and all the way to FL
Thanks
