Had a service engine soon light checked and found a po171 code lean bank 1 . This is on a 2004 fleetwood flair f- 53 Ford v/ 10. I cannot seem to find what this means or if bank one is right or left. To far from home to be alone. Lol

Probably an o2 sensor bank 1 would be where the number 1 cylinder is located . google your engine firing order.

Bank 2 is the opposite 6-10

Thank you so much. Now in Florida and this should be able to wait until I get home. I did suspect this because I had both manifolds changed and they used the old o2 sensors over. Light came on shortly after. I canceled light and it stayed off for about 1,000 miles for the trip down.

PO171 means you have a lean condition. Could be O2 sensor, MAF, vacuum leak... many possibilities.

I had that code, fuel pressure was low.
Found split hose in the tank on the fuel sender unit.

PCV hose in older Ford's have been known to developed holes causing vacuum leaks, worn PCV grommets too, use Ford ones.

There is a troubleshooting flow chart for the code, best bet is get a Ford DVD from ebay and a code scanner, Forscan is free need a good cable and a computer.

Clean your Mass Air Flow sensor with MAF cleaner. $10.

Might fix it, might not, but certainly worth the effort and a lot cheaper and easier than changing the O2 sensor.

Does anyone know the size of socket needed to remove the 92 sensors? I am seeing 22mm or 7/8? Thanks.

I wouldnt replace 02 sensers, most likely a vacuum leak as others have stated.

Buy an O2 sensor remover from any parts store. Has a split side most all that size.my 1999 V10 only has 2 O2 sensores. Passebger side easily removed from inside dog house in front of pass seat. Other inder drivers side both are plug and play. Dont know if your year has four.
Did check lots of things first. Found nothing. Took out O2 sensores. Both literally fell apart. Used some blaster the day before. Came right out. Used some never sieze when installibg. NO MORE CODES.
Not an expensive deal. Good luck.
