Power Gear Jacks Don't Retract

my power gear jacks no longer retract when releasing parking brake as if i were going to drive away. safety feachure i can retract them manually with pad switch. this is on 1994 bounder f53 the parking brake could probably use some adjustment, dont know if that has any bearing .thanks for any replies

Proably just a bad switch on the park brake since the control pad still operates. Send Power Gear an email, they will assist you with your problem.

Sounds like a problem in the board. The parking brake has to be set for the jacks to work. If the switch was bad you would have no ground for the board and the jacks would not work.

It seems his key pad still works since he said he used it to retract the jacks with the key pad. If the jacks will still extend using the key pad there shouldn't be anything wrong with it. He needs to come back and give more information.

Chuck. I am sorry but your statement doesn't make sense. The board provides many functions. Motor overtemp, jacks down warning buzzer, etc. Just because one part of the board works doesn't mean there is not a problem with one circuit of the board.

Our leveling jacks won't function either up or down unless the parking brake is set. We have the KwiKee Level Best 2000 series.

jacks not retracting

the pad works properly when parking brake is on,key in engine run position ,or engine running, so am able to raise or lower jacks without any problem. but i would like the driveaway safety feature to work.right now if i release the parking brake the green pad light goes off but the alarm and red flashing light dont work and jacks dont retract.since the pad light goes off when brake is released i assume the switch on brake assem is working. thanks again for the comebacks.

ga traveler is probably correct, there very well may be a problem with the control module. Would be best to contact tech support at Power Gear and describe the problem to them.

To test if it is the control module, with the jacks down take the transmission out of park. If the alarm doesn't sound or the jacks don't retract there's a good possibility it is the control module. Unfortunately, depending of which model you have it may be obsolete.

power gear jacks

my problem with the jacks turned out to be a connection at the float .one of the wires broke off .i also had an intermittent ,turn pad on ,which was a loose connection at the parking brake . thanks everyone for helping .
