Tiffin has this as an option now on its gasser's.

As I view the install video it appears the sumo springs are an addition to the leaf springs, is that correct?

If so, don't see how there would be any greater ride improvement than that of installing the Firestone Ride-Rite air bags.

Is there something I'm missing

yes, it's in the rebound... sumo's work in compression and in rebound..

air bags rely on your shocks to control rebound

Oh, OK Thanks, just wondered as the Ride-Rite's on our coach along with the Koni FSD's give us a fairly comfortable ride.
