Has anyone ever measured how much drop there is in height on an f53 22k after the motorhome is loaded for travel?

I have never measured the receiver height, but I have placed my hand between the receiver and the back body cap while putting the horse trailer on the hitch and was jacking the weight from the trailer jack to the hitch and you would be surprised how much flex is there.

I can not tell you about that chassis but I've seen as much as 8 inches difference between loaded and not. You need to load it and break out the yardstick, only way.

Another issue: Even if I had that exact chassis.. Would I load mine exactly the same as you load yours? (The correct answer is though not impossible, it might as well be, Odds approach zero)

With the newer Ford chassis, I bet it doesn't move at all. If you need to buy a 4" drop, let me know.

I know my old p32 went down quite a bit. It would go down about 6 inches after the water tank was filled. I could never pull out of my driveway with the water tank filled but I could with it empty. I set up the toad on that one with water at half full as that is where I normally ran it and it was within specs no matter whether there was an empty water tank or full one.
Never even thought about it with the last one as I never measured until after it was loaded. I did check it with water or no water and it didn't change more than about a half inch. The water tank was small on that one though.

I called the dealer service up as I figured they would have a ball park figure to work with as they, I assume, do installation work for new owners and I would hope they take into account all variables.
They put me on the line with somebody who said it's no big deal with any RV , just hook it up as it is. I started to question that and they adamantly declared they have been towing for 20 years and never heard the need for anything like a drop hitch. She then said if your tanks are in the middle you won't drop any. LOL Funny thing my p32 had the tanks in the middle.......

I have thirty years with trailers and two motorhomes but I like to tow within specs..
Some people know it all when they start and never learned anything after ... lol

I covered my bases and ordered the dual hitch receiver .. 2 inch and 4 inch drop both in one unit.. I was going to weld a receiver tube to the drop adapter anyway and make an x pen carrier, this dual unit I found will negate the need for welding onto the Drop hitch adapter as I can use the second one already there.

I just needed to know if it dropped any at all. If it drops only one then I need the 4 inch.. if it drops about two or three then all I need is the 2 inch.
