I just heard from my peeps from the PRVCA Show in Hershey, PA that Ford's Detroit Steel (F53 Motorhome Division) has not setup a display at the event. Most unusual I would say since Ford has always been at that show as far back as I can remember beginning in Harrisburg at the farm show complex.

There could be any number of reasons and I expect that they felt that given their market share perhaps they figured they didn't have to advertise or expend the resources to attend the Hershey Show. I do expect that I will see their display in Louisville this December at the RVIA Show. If you guys remember, I wrote up a product review about the 2009 F53.

I have also been told that there are not a lot of motorhomes being shown. Walking thought the event people might think it's a towables show or a leftover show. The number of inside vendors have also drastically cut back as well. Now that's not to say that some OEs didn't bring 2010 models some did but what I am told is that it's almost equals to what Buzz Aldrin said, "Magnificent Desolation!" Looks great! Nobody here!

One other long time chassis company that's absent as well is ... Spartan Chassis Inc.
