I finally looked at my battery it is a Motorcraft BXT-65-750. I am going to replace it with the BXT-65-850 as it has a higher cca rating and reserve capacity. Same size and warranty.

http://www.midwaysterlingparts.com/F...eries%20MC.pdf

Bought it from Autoplicity with shipping to the house for 114.00.

O'Reilly's was 178.00+ tax

Mine is a 50lb battery and it looks easy to set in there, but I KNOW I can't lift 50lbs in there across for SURE!

I just got an email from Autoplicity...FLAKES!!!

After I got the confirmation email this morning, no problems, this afternoon I get an email saying they cancelled the order.

So then I went to the webpage and it shows they still have 179 of those in stock, I called them, the lady says "its a mistake" No kidding!

I took a picture of the website......

Quote:
Hello xxxxxxxxxx,
We tried really hard but unfortunatley had to cancel your order. We could not fulfill it and have already voided your payment if you were originally charged. To double check, here are the methods of payment you could have used and how the void/retund was instantly done:

Our apology to you on our behalf for canceling this out. We only do this if the order is not actually in stock and for some odd reason our inventory was off or at times the item may be oversize and end up being only freight based which won't meet the standard ship time so we will contact you. There is always a possible case that we cancel an order for you since an item is discontinued or shows "ships from manufacture" but we know that its going to either take too long to ship out or there will be a problem with the item from past experience. We only want to do better by you ahead of time and get things fixed before they break.

Our Staff is standing by to answer any questions you may have!

Below is the summary of the order.
Order Number: 250142

Take a look at the batteries at Walmart, they are made by Johnson Controls the world's largest battery manufacturer. I use them for my vehicle's and coach starting battery. Have always served me well, plus they have a three year free replacement policy.

TJ, be nice (one of the early responders)...

Seroiusly now: 12 years is a long time, 7-10 is normal life (mine went 9)

HOWEVER this is a motor home, You have two sets of batteries and I am only slightly guessing here but on your dash is a momentary switch (Push button or spring loaded toggle or rocker) with a label something like Emergency Start, Aux Start or Boost.

This is a built in jump start system,, This means when if you wait to replace the chassis battery, Later (If it was going to be sooner you'd have replaced it already) it will fail and .. you press that button or toggle that switch and hold it for a few seconds, then try again,, Drive to the battery store and get out your plastic rectangle.

That is the time to replace the battery. No need to replace it till it fails.

NOTE: that is exactly how I decided when to get a new one.

John at Battery center says 129.00 + 20 core and when I bring back the old one I get the 20 back.

That's a great price!

He'll have it tomorrow Dave. Thanks!
I'll pick it up tomorrow and maybe this weekend sometime if its not ice or snowing
