Roadside Emergencies/Towing

I'm still in the first 12 month's of ownership. I've had Good Sam Roadside/Towing for years. I'm up for GS renewal in a month or so. I see in the owner's manual that Ford provides some roadside assistance and towing as part of their warranty.

With the Ford towing and roadside, is GS Towing needed? I think I may have some Winnebago coverage also, but I'll have to dig through the case of manuals to see what that is and for how long. Thanks

Investigate what Ford and Winnebago warranty road service supplies before dropping GS road service. Depending upon which road service company Ford and Winnebago have contracted, you may be disappointed.
At the present price of towing, you may find yourself owing several hundred dollars just for a tow, after Ford or Winnebago has paid their share.

Ford will only pay towing for a warranty issue and then only to the closest Ford dealer. I have no idea about Winnie, but I know neither will pay for tire changes, winch outs and all that other good stuff.

Most Ford dealers only work on Class C .
Keep that in mind

We just purchased new to US 36 ft Bounder 17 miles out had to be towed twice to a shop towing policy was to tow it to the nearest shop first shop didn't even work on motorhomes Second Shop worked on 18-wheelers but they said they would look at it so be aware your towing service might just take you to the closest shop whether it's 100 Mi or whether it's two miles down the road

Seemed we had no say as to what shop to use
