Scan Gauge II

I was in Auto Zone looking for a Scan Gauge II for my 2006 F53. They didn't show a unit for the F53 but did show units for a 550 heavy duty van with a 6.8. Will this be the same unit needed for the motor home or is there a specal unit for my needs?

Thanks,
Mike

You might want to call the Techs at Linear Logic in AZ Toll Free: 888-433-5664 and they can probably answer your question. They're the company that developed the SG-II and I ordered mine from them. It was $169.00 When I bought it a few years ago.

Good luck

The Scan Gauge II will work any newer OBDII system, so you should have no problem! I move mine between vehicles all the time and I have a GMC Truck and a Honda along with our RV!

Scan Gauge II will work with any OBD2 equiped vehicle. Programming will be different for each.

I purchased mine direct from Linear logic and they was very helpful with setting it up. I have heard that the are very helpful, no matter where you but it.

Auto Zone and most other auto supply stores don't list F53 in their catalogs. I've heard that Napa does.

Thanks,

It appears that I should be in good shape picking up this unit. It will be nice to be able to monitor, in real time with real readings, some of the more important parameters of the motorhome and my pickup.

You should be fine. I have taken my unit out of the MH, and used it in my Honda, and my wife's Toyota.

I have a 2005 Monaco Monarch SE on the F53. I have had a scan gage II and it works great. The best investment I have made for my coach.

I have used my Scangauge II on 2005 Monaco Monarch S 30PDD Ford F53, 2007 Toyota Prius, 2008 Smart wish it work on the GoldWing also. It is the best thing I have added to the MH, won't leave home without it. I read engine temp, load, trany temp, mpg as reg settings.

Edit: We put the Smart and GoldWing in the trailer so I have a good load at all times.

I have the ScanGage II in my F53, the only programming I did was to add tranny temp, was able to do from the info supplied with the unit. Not that difficult, just inputting a long string of numbers without a keypad. The OBD sends the tranny temp info, the ScanGage just needs to interpret the data and display it, no sensors to add.

Get the Actron pocketscan plus CP 9550. It is the lastest and will give you information in english. The beauty is you can move it from vehicle to vehicle. Google Actron and you will find full information about the unit. I got mine at Auto Zone.
