What voltage range are you seeing. With both batteries fully charged, temperatures in the 70's mine shows 13.3 to 14.0 volts. It stays mostly in the 13.7 to 14.0 range.

Thats pretty normal with the engine running and alturnator in good working order.

Have you gotten transmission temp to work on yours?

Yup, that's the voltage range it should be showing.

jcthorne, I also have a SG II and my trans temp works on mine.

I bought mine some time ago and had to send it back Linear Logic to have it upgraded so it would display more data.

Have you programmed yours to read the Trans Fluid Temp? I have the code, if you need it let me know, OK?

Jim

I haven't programmed mine for transmission fluid temp yet. Almost afraid to, my factory water temp gauge never moves out of normal, the Scan Gauge at times gets up to 235 degrees. I'm afraid of what I might see in transmission temp.

I tried to program it using the codes and addresses in the owners manual but I do not get any data. Must be wrong for my 2007 F53. Please send your programming info and I'll compare and perhaps figure out what I have done wrong.

Here are the codes that I found to work on my scan guage 11 for Transmission fluid temp. I also have high reading on scanguage for coolant temp. Mine runs as high as 220 with the temp gauge reading normal.FORD PWM

Just for your information.

My water temp usually runs 193 and on a long mountain pull I have seen it at 215.

Trans temp usually runs about 170, never seen it above 190

jc, I noticed you have a 2007 coach with the newer 3valve engine. koda59 gave a list of the correct codes, however not sure whether they may be different for the newer engine. You might want to give the folks at Linear Logic a call 888 433-5664 and discuss the issue with them. They've been very helpful when I had questions about my SG II.

Best of luck and let us know the results,

Jim

Well the codes koda59 posted were the same as listed in the SG instructions to did not help. ( Do appreciate the help though)

Sent and email to Linear Logic and got a very helpful response that I thought I would post here for others to find.

For 2006 and later, you need to use the FORD CAN codes as ford changed protocols. All the Ford CAN codes start with 07E. Also there is a newly updated list of codes at the ScanGauge web site that now includes a list of these codes.

Sure enough, plugged in a few and they work. Tried TransFluidTemp and CylinderHeadTemp. Seems the mystery is solved.

Glad you got the fix and thanks for the feedback and heads-up on the code changes.

Just get one digit wrong on the input and you will get no reading. Takes a lot of patience. And steady hands.
