Good Afternoon All;
Thinking about adding a Scan Gauge to our coach. I can't seem to locate the OBD2 connector. Can someone tell me where it is located on our F53 Chassie? The coach is a 2003 Southwind 32VS. Many thanks.

Hi -

It's a rectangular connector, about 1/2-inch wide by 1 inch long (obviously shaped like the reverse of the connector on the Scan-Gauge). Should be near or right around the steering column, and maybe tucked up under the dash. I've seen some that are simply hanging down, others that are ty-wrapped to another wire-bundle, and some that are screwed to the column fascia itself.

Won't be hard to locate, once you find it the first time. I spent forever helping a buddy find his, only to realize we'd hung the droplite on the connector-body itself (Duh!).

Good luck!
Ron

A timely question since I just installed mine today. On the Ford F53 chassis it is located about 6 inches inboard (toward center of coach) of steering column centerline mounted to the brake pedal bracket assembly. Faces rear of coach and about 3 inches up from lower edge of IP. It has a protective plastic cover on it that says Engine Data Connector and must be removed to hookup. Hope this helps. ScanGauge is awesome.
