Shift needle indicator-sliped

Hi
I have 99HR-Endeavor on f-53 v-10. Recently while shifting in the D-drive my **** needle indicator sliped and now is showing 1-st gear and when in park it showing R-Revers.all moved for one place.Where should i start looking?

Under the steering wheel column inside the bottom cover is a small arm with a very small cable connected to it. Cable goes to the PRND21 indicator. Your cable is probably broken/loose. Forget about fixing it, reconnect the cable, or replace the cable. There is also a small knurled screw to center the needle .

Hi

Fiesta48 you where right , i finaly had some time and opened the bottom of the steering colum and found the cable ,it was ok but litle plastic holder that holds adjustment wheel broke .I was able to epxy the bracket back and all is ok .

yea, the little plastic bracket breaks on those things and causes that problem. Remember if you goto Ford to order another one, be sure to tell them it's for a motorhome. Some of their parts are different for autos vs. motorhomes.
