I have a class C, jAMBOREE 31'. Am getting ready to replace (motorcraft) with Monroes. Do I need the axle wt. to purchase? Also the airbags have 45 lbs in them. Is that right as there is no info in chassis book? This is on a Ford E350 chassis. Thanks in advance if someone can help.

I see no one has done this. Anyway, thanks for the reads. I will call Ford as I am always afraid of the different answers from different dealers.

You should only need the model and chassis GVW rating per axle. My airLift air bags show a minimum of 30# and maximum of 90# on the inflation label. I have Monroe shocks on my F-53 and like them.

If you have the Motorcraft part numbers, you can cross-reference those to any other shock...

Monroe Gas Magnum RV shock for the front is #555031.

Monroe Gas Magnum RV shock for the rear is # 555032. However, there is another shock # listed for the rear. It is listed as being more for towing and it is adjustable(?). That number is #555010.

Since you have airbags I would think the adjustables would be unnecessary. As to pressure, that would be dependant upon how the rig is loaded or if there is any known spring sag. Since you currently inflate to 45, additional may or may not be needed for ride enhancement. As previously stated do not exceed 90#'s.

Thank you'll for the info. Have copied no's and will help to get them. It doesnt look bad to change out. Also will drop air to 35 lbs andd see if it softens the ride. I knew someone on here knew. Thanks again.
