Has anyone had trouble with the coils going bad on the v10?
I have a 1999 replaced in 2006 and 18000 miles on the spark plugs
I have had to replace 3 coils so far and it sounds like more very soon
Anybody have a brand that will hold up? At a $130 a pop I would like to have them last a little while

We're at 68,000 miles with our 2000 coach and so far, (knock on wood), no plug and/or coil replacement yet.

Its the insulator below the coil that gets wet down in the spark plug hole, then fouls and fails. The Coil itself is usually fine. Napa and Advance sell kits to replace the insulator boots and the lead inside. Keep the top of the motor dry and they usually will last the life of the motor. Its a known issue for many of the mod engine fords.
