I've had my MH a couple of summers now and ever since putting the Koni FSD's on and doing alignment with proper caster it rides as good as it's going to get without putting air bags on. My question is this. When I hit expansion joints etc it really make my steering wheel move and I thought this was normal since I never owned a bread truck before. Is it normal or should it not move at all when hitting a bumpy road? Should I be looking for a bad weld or loose bolt? I did see a thread on here in my search, but the thread was from 2008 with no solution or reply.

Thanks!
Matt

It should not move, start by checking for loose bolts.

We had several coachs that had this problem. The motorhome comes from the factory with the tower ( i believe that is what they called the steering column support) attached to the frame. It is up to the Mh manuf. to attach the tower to the MH firewall.
some manuf. used screws to attach the tower to the firewall. many times these pulled out. this will cause the steering wheel to move when you hit a bump or pull yourself out of the drivers seat. Reattach the metal tower to the firewall with nuts and bolts and that will take care of your problem.

Great! I will check that out. Thanks!
