Stereo Died - Factory Unit Itasca

Folks:
The stereo by the drivers seat died on this trip. It is saying "12:00 AM" with several of the optional conditions indicators lit. It it is really strange. I think it is not getting power, but the LED's have been skeptical. I tried to pull the fuses for the radio, but that did nothing. What's next? Why would it die? It's always something....

Thanks

Why would it die? Maybe because the factories pay about $10.00 a piece for the cheapest radio they can find.

Folks: After locating and reading manual, I found there was a reset button by the #5 station button. Holding it down did the trick! Agree it is a cheap unit, but i did not feel like replacing it either.

Happy New Year

I agree with you. Cheap or not I would keep it till it goes kaput. Glad you found the fix.

The bad news you know, the good news is the sizes are more or less standard now days (DIN is the initials of the French National Standards bureau in case you did not know). though connections may be different, but adapt-a-connector kits exist.

When the time comes to feed it to the recyclers.. Crutchfield: Car Stereo, Speakers, Home Theater, Pro Audio, 4k TV

Thanks - I looked at Crutchfield, but saw nothing on RV adapters. Since the head unit is feeding 6 speakers, I am curious if a regular head unit can send the music to all 6 like the factory system? Also, please let me know if you found adapters for the RV.

Crutchfield has adapters for almost anything.

One of the BEST places to purchase your next dash sound system for your coach.

I had thought it was the German standards bureau.
