Torqshift 5 Speed Transmission Control

Has anyone seen an aftermarket box to manually control this transmission? Sometimes I'd just like to lockout 5th gear. Tow/haul function is just too intrusive in some conditions.

i know i would sure like to control the downshifting pattern. its annoying as heck , when your in cruise control and a little hill comes up and it downshifts and when you go back down it has to down shift again to brake the momentum. almost makes the od worthless. p.i.t.a.

OD Lockout

Just give me an "OD" switch like the old 4 speed. "Tow/Haul" is designed for someone who would never drop into a lower gear, just ride the brakes until th flames shoot out.

I did talk to a Brazel tuning guy at the Good Sam show in Louisville, and he commented that they didn't have a box for this, but that it would be a good idea and he would mention to the home office.

Hi John
Give us a call. Very easy to do we do it all the time lock out 5th while in tow/haul mode or not in tow/haul mode. It wouldn't be 100% manual but close. You can even pick at what MPH you want 5th gear to engage if need be.

thanks
Mike
