Ecoboost economy goes away under load, why it works well in a pickup is it gets good mileage under light load which a pickup has most of the time but still has the power when needed. In MH the Ecoboost would be under significant load all the time and not be worth it for all the extra complexity / cost.
I still think they need to do a Powerstroke option on the F53 I think that would be a great combo, although at a significant cost over the V10.

I'm not concerned over the fuel economy, probably not many people are as all these coaches suck fuel. I like the extra torque at much lower RPMs.
The powerstroke would be very interesting as well.

Iggy,
Are you serious sir, about the V8 rear diesel F53 ?. Any links to read up on it. Man, 7.3 V8 turbo, air ride & will have the short tail, so getting rid of that dredded tail wag & probably a 30,000 GVWR.

A supercharger kit for a V-8 would be adequate for the V-10, as you really don't need engine killing boost. I am not a big fan of the power stroke as it is problem prone and to access anything except oil or belt changes is a major problem. I don't know about the last 4 years of power stroke, but most people run at the site of a 2 year old ford diesel. If you are talking about 38' or shorter, a front engine diesel is the answer. I know, many say the front engine diesel is too noisy, but have they actually ridden in one? Today's diesels are pretty quite. But then you have the rough ride, but that is the beauty of the diesel. You have the power down low to regain the speed that you would loose by slowing down for rough roads.

Both the 6.0L and the 7.3L are out of production and are never coming back. And both of them were made by International.
Ford and International had a big falling out over the 6.0L. It was complete with large lawsuits. I can't see those two companies working together again in our lifetimes.

Not to mention all the people that bought the 6.0L. A lot of people say, "they should bring back the 7.3, it was a great engine, it ran forever", yea they did, but most of them only half ran because it cost too much to keep repairing them. Not to mention the weight and the noise, and they really burned clean.

someone finally spoke up with a Super Charger idea, it would have to be small but, pretty of grunt on the low end. Engine compartment just doesn't allow much room at least with the cut away C's. Caterpillar and Ford use to play nice together...80's I believe!
Super Charger with a Turbo it's been done Lancia Delta Last of the Super B's
